Holistic Landscape, Tree and Woodland Management
Here at
WISHING TREE
We are passionate about natural landscapes, trees and woodlands. We seek to promote understanding of how our trees impact our lives both in urban and rural settings.
We operate as a non-profit organisation to maximise our reach focusing on a nature-based approach that doesn’t cost the earth and seek to collaborate with like-minded organisations to maximise the benefits of our activities.
Through our outreach projects we offer woodland based skills training that promotes understanding of the need to protect and grow our native woodlands and the multitude of benefits to people and wildlife.
– Woodland based skills training
– Increased woodland access for wellbeing
– A greater number of actively managed woodlands as a result
This is our mission.

Our Vision
To provide affordable, sustainable and ethical consultancy and contracting services that advocate for good practice and woodland management.
One Planet
Caring for the environment and championing sustainable practice is at the heart of all we do and are.
Love Where We Live
Contributing to the community and advocate social change through our services, not for profit model and the creation of employment & volunteering opportunities.
Many Leaves, One Tree
We seek to bring people together from all walks of life, breaking down barriers and contribute to a more cohesive community.
A Single Twig Breaks, But a Bundle of twigs is stronger
Partnering with like-minded organisations to enhance our ability to create change, learn from each other & share best practice.
Wishing Tree, in all of us –
Empowering volunteers, staff and other stakeholders to contribute to our organisations future and feel passionately about our mission.
Trees
We offer tree consultancy and management providing a sustainable revenue stream that enables us to commit to our outreach work. Trees are essential to urban and residential settings, providing green corridors, habitats, CO2 capture, absorbing pollutants, reducing noise and temperatures beneath their canopies.
Woodlands
We offer a sustainable, minimally invasive, holistic woodland management practice. Specialising in consultancy and contracting services to small woodland owners, farmers and charitable/non-profit organisations.
Landscapes
Wishing Tree began as a horticultural organisation with a diverse portfolio of private customers and community projects. We have historically managed gardens, estates and public spaces. We continue to offer services specialising in designing and planting treescapes, horticultural consultancy and wildlife friendly projects. Please get in touch for further information or to arrange a quotation.
Wishing Tree in the Community
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothings going to get better. It’s not.” – The Lorax, Dr Seuss.
We have developed a fragmented relationship with the landscape in this country and becoming part of the solution for many can feel overwhelming.
By breaking down what we can do into manageable components we hope to give people opportunities to reconnect with trees and woodlands, understand their importance and equip them with tools to make more informed decisions and bring nature-based practices back to urban settings.
Here at Wishing Tree we firmly believe that education, engagement and access for all are key principles to increasing woodland cover, biodiversity gain and will help recover our woodland industries.
We seek to work with funders, councils and other organisations to create, manage and run a variety of community-based projects that have multifaceted outcomes for the benefit of all.
